Create a new project

  1. Open NVivo 
  2. Choose New Project

  1. From the New Project dialog, enter Project title
  2. Click the Browse button to select where to save your new project.
    1. Tip: to keep things organized it's best to save the file in the same folder as your data.
  3. Select Keep a log of user actions (Windows)
  4. Click Next (Windows)

  1. Select Autosave project (on Mac this is a check box)
  2. Click Create Project

Note: Project file will save as a .nvp file on Windows and a .nvpx file on Mac.
