Use the Bloomberg Professional® Terminal

1. Click the Bloomberg icon on the desktop
2. Click ‘Create a New Login’
3. Follow the on-screen instructions
4. Have your phone ready to receive the validation code

Remember to close Bloomberg and shut down the computer at the end of your session.

Install an Excel add-on (only needs to be done once)

1. In Excel, click Start > All Programs > Bloomberg > Install Office Add-In
2. Click ‘Install’
3. Once the Add-On has loaded, close Excel
4. When you reopen Excel, there should be a Bloomberg tab across the top

To export data so that it can be accessed after you leave the DRC

1. Select all values you have imported into Excel
2. ‘Paste as Values’ into a new sheet or workbook
3. You will now be able to open the data outside of the DRC

Bloomberg allows you to export your data to Excel or as a pdf.

Excel add-Ins are required to export to Excel.

If you get the error message "Support addin load has failed: File not found blplib.dll,” follow these instructions:

1. Log out of everything and start over.
2. Log into Bloomberg and then minimize.
3. In the bottom left hand corner, click on the window icon.
4. Click on Bloomberg and look for Install office add-ins.
5. Click install on the pop-up.
6. Open Excel 2016 (blank work sheet) and look to see if Bloomberg is now a tab across the top.
7. Save your data to Excel (use output).
