Getting Started with Omni

How do I copy citations in Omni?

To get a copy of a citation in Omni:

  1. Click the Citation button (quotation icon) to the right of the item you’d like to cite
  2. Choose from one of the citation styles
  3. Click Copy Citation to Clipboard

Note: Remember to check citations for accuracy before including them in your work.

How do I export to a citation manager?

  1. Pin items of interest using the Add this item button (pin icon).
  2. Locate these items in My Favourites.
  3. Select the items you want to export.
  4. Click the "Push to" actions button (three dots) from the My Favourites menu.
  5. Follow the instructions from there.

How do I follow citation trails within Omni?

To find sources that an article cites, or articles published after this article that cite it:

  1. Look for the two orange citation icons located on the right-hand side of article records.
  2. Click to follow citation trails to sources that cite the article (Find sources citing this button) and sources that the article cites (Find sources cited in this button).
    • double arrows pointing upwards = sources that cite the article.
    • arrow pointing downwards = sources that the article cites.
