Analyze Data: SAS

What is SAS?

  • Do you have a large dataset to analyze? Then SAS is a tool you can use to clean your data and run statistics on it.
  • SAS is used to generate descriptive statistics for data including mean, variance, range and other descriptives.
  • Inferential statistics can be generated by SAS on data including t-tests, ANOVAs, regressions and many other inferential statistics.

Where can I access SAS?

  • SAS is available on the library public computers. for use by UoG students, staff and faculty during library hours.
  • SAS for Windows for download by UoG students, staff and faculty through the CCS software site for a fee.
  • If you are teaching or learning how to use SAS then you can download SAS University for free.
  • If you need help installing SAS on your computer you can either drop by the IT Help Desk located on the first floor of the library or contact CCS Help Services.
