You might notice that Kurzweil sometimes reads the page headings or unrelated content instead of the section you clicked on.
1. Click the “Expand” icon (four outward-facing arrows) at the top-right of the content page.
2. This opens the content in a new, standalone page.
3. A new Kurzweil toolbar tab will appear along with the opened content.
4. Use Kurzweil as usual - it should now read the correct section of the page.
If the “Expand” button doesn’t work for a specific page, or you want offline access:
1. Scroll to the bottom of the CourseLink content page.
2. Click the Print icon (located next to the Download button).
3. Choose Print to PDF (this saves the page as a PDF file on your device). 4. Upload the PDF to your Kurzweil Universal Library at kurzweil3000.com.
5. In Kurzweil, adjust your PDF scan settings to ensure the document reads properly:
a. Go to My Account at the top left of the Kurzweil website, then select PDF Settings.
b. Enable Remediated Processing to turn on full OCR (Optical Character Recognition) for uploaded PDFs.
c. Optional: Customize settings based on your file type:
i. Select Emphasize OCR Result if it’s a scanned PDF (no selectable text)
ii. Select Emphasize Embedded Text if the PDF already has searchable text
You might notice that Kurzweil sometimes skips content that appears under tabbed sections. Text within tabbed sections cannot be clicked on, meaning you cannot tell Kurzweil where to begin reading.
If there is text above the tabbed content, click it and have Kurzweil start reading. Kurzweil will read down the page and begin reading the content within the tabs properly. You still cannot tell Kurzweil where to begin reading inside the tabs.

You may notice that Kurzweil is unable to continue reading down a page once it encounters a practice quiz.
To have the quiz content read out, click on the question text, and then click play on the Kurzweil toolbar interface. You will then have to click on each answer and click play on the Kurzweil toolbar inter face.
